Our International Market
M/S Gleon tea (Pvt) Ltd primarily targets international markets, which are currently dominated by large-scale tea companies in Sri Lanka that offer their products at relatively higher prices. As a medium-scale business, our goal is to provide high-quality tea at competitive prices to these markets, aiming to establish a strong presence.
We believe that our ability to offer premium products at lower prices is crucial to our success. By keeping our overheads lower than those of larger tea exporting companies, we can pass the savings on to our customers. Additionally, we are equipped to fulfil orders for tea packaging under a client’s own label or in bulk according to their specific requirements.
Founders Message

Issac George Victor
My journey in the tea industry began in 1962 when I was just 16 years old. After gaining over 18 years of experience, I ventured into my own tea business in 1980, marking the beginning of the “Gleon Tea” journey. In late 1989, I introduced my first tea brand, “Nuwaraeliay Tea,” specifically created to serve the local community. As I reached retirement, I reflected on over 45 years of experience in the tea industry, and I consider this journey a true blessing. I’ve had the privilege of being involved in every step of the process, from nurturing the plants in the nursery to crafting the perfect cup of tea. I started with big dreams, fueled by courage and determination, envisioning a brand of my own that would satisfy tea lovers both in our country and around the world. The journey was neither easy nor quick. Competing with established brands in the industry at times, even I doubted whether this dream could ever be realized. But thanks to the support of tea enthusiasts nationwide, that dream became a reality. Now, it brings me great joy to introduce our new brand, Gleon Teas, to tea lovers across the globe.
I feel it is my duty to honor the remarkable explorers, adventurers, and farmers who overcame immense challenges to establish a great industry. When obstacles arose, they created something even greater. In recognition of their greatness, we pay tribute to the generations of planters who carried the torch, keeping the industry thriving, just as they continue to do today.
We warmly invite tea enthusiasts worldwide to unite with us in savouring the distinct flavor, aroma, and colour of Ceylon tea through the perfect cup of Gleon Teas
