Nuwaraeliya Tea is the blend of hard work, quality and determination of Mr. Victors’ 58-Year journey and is now ready to serve the globe under the name of Gleon Teas.
The story of Nuwaraeliya Tea Began in the early 1980s..However, his commitment to tea goes all the way back to the 1960s when Mr. Victor decided to start his life changing journey with tea plantation industries at the age of 16. He started his carrier in 1963, attached to Langdale Tea Estate in Thalawakele as a trainee and had the privilege of working under skilled superiors with immense experience. He was blessed to witness the entire process starting from tea nurseries, green tea fields and tea factories during his 45-year carrier path. This journey helped him find out how he could convert his life experience into a life changing cup of Tea.

- Radella tea Estate Nanuoya - 1964 to 1970
- Logie Tea Estate Thalawakele - 1970 to 1971
- Kirklees Tea Estate Udapussellawa - 1971 to 1995
- Brunswick Estate Maskeliya - 1995 to 2007
With immeasurable experience in the tea industry, the brand name “Nuwaraeliya Tea” was launched in 1989 marking one of the most significant milestones of his 45 Year carrier. The brand name Nuwaraeliya Tea has completed 32 years as a prominent player in the domestic market, having catered to thousands of tea lovers around the country for three decades.
The company is now focusing on the international market under the banner “Gleon Teas” with the intention of serving the companies’ prime objective of supplying world-renowned Ceylon teas with its unique range, value additions and range of herbal teas, to tea lovers around the globe.
